About VOTF/NJ

Our Mission

To provide a prayerful voice, attentive to the Spirit, through which the Faithful
can actively participate in the governance and guidance of the
Catholic Church.

Our Goals

To support survivors of clergy sexual abuse
To support priests of integrity
To shape structural change within the Catholic Church

VOTF/NJ began in August, 2002 in northern New Jersey with its first meeting at the Birchwood Manor in Whippany. Since then, we have held monthly meetings at varied locations hosting many fine speakers, including some with national reputations. Since our founding we have welcomed three new affiliates to VOTF-NJ. We have reorganized to respond to the interest in our work. VOTF-NJ now inlcudes four affiliates:

Northern NJ
Union County

Each affiliate is coordinated by a dedicated team of volunteers. Members contribute as their lives allow, but all have remained committed to the VOTF Mission Statement and to our goal of establishing better communication among all those in our Church.
